Grand Theft Auto IV arrives on April 29th, 2008 to the delight of video game fans everywhere! Recent commercials have revealed early footage of the game, which will be available for both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

You can pre-order Grand Theft Auto IV or Grand Theft Auto IV Special Edition at Amazon.com.

This is the 9th title in the GTA series and features a re-created Liberty City, complete with new scenes, characters and missions. It takes place fictionally in LC, which is around New York and New Jersey. The main character of this adventure will be Niko Bellic, an Eastern European, between 28 and 32 years of age who has traveled to Liberty City to pursue the "American Dream". According to early reports of the game, you now have a little more work to do to jack cars, as you'll not only have to break the glass and get in, but also will have to hotwire it. That definitely gives the cops more time to catch you.

There will also be helicopters available to "steal" and fly. In addition, there's a slew of new actions you can perform such as climbing telephone poles and fire escapes, pushing people who bump into him, calling women for dates, playing darts and bowling. It's also possible to become intoxicated, which makes your character stumble around and the screen go blurry.

The GTA series has always been a favorite of video gamers across the globe, as it involves strategy-based missions, cheating, stealing, running over pedestrians and all-out mayhem! This title will definitely have a superior look and feel when compared to its predecessors such as San Andreas and Vice City. The previous titles of course didn't make use of the 360 or PS3's better capabilities.
